Progress rate of housing projects at New October City detailed

CAIRO – 14 March 2022: Head of New October City Development Agency Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud gave an overview to Al Watan newspaper Monday of the progress rate of the various housing projects taking place in the city.
Speaking of social housing targeted at low-income citizens, 45,000 units have been accomplished out of 135,000. Yet, only 32,000 were delivered as the rest are being finished.
As for middle-income housing projects "Housing for All Egyptians" and "Sakan Misr" at the city, 10,000 units were built within the former, while 4,236, distributed upon 177 flat-buildings, were completed within the latter. That makes the progress rate for "Housing for All Egyptians" more than 25 percent.
The official noted that a nearby industrial city will be introduced on a surface area of 1,300 feddans (one feddan equals 4,500 square meters).
